Maintaining Your Certification

IASA certification follows in the footsteps of some of the most successful professional certifications in the world. Most of the worlds professional certifications require Continuing Education Units (continued study and professional experience i.e. CEU that is mapped into learning hour) to maintain certification or credential levels. This ensures that a certified professional do not let their skills go by the wayside but avoid re-certification process and fees. Our certification follows this process. Candidates are required to take a certain number of IASA CEUs (either directly from IASA or from an IASA accredited program) to maintain their certification and credentials. This process is maintained through submission of relevant industry learning every three years.

Multiple Ways to Earn CEUs

There are many ways to earn CEUs towards maintaining your certification. The number of units differs based on the level of your certification. The most common means of earning CEUs are attendance at chapter education events and IASA IT Architect Conferences. Here are a list of ways you can maintain your certification.

  2. IASA Knowledge Community and Content Submission: Contribute Articles, Book Reviews, Blogs, Templates and more to the IASA Knowledge Portal and our Editorial Team will review and assess CEUs for each signficant submission.
  3. Volunteer Service: Earn CEUs for providing your professional services to an organization outside of your employer. You could serve as an elected officer or volunteer committee member for a project management organization.
  4. Accredited Education Courses: There are many courses available in the industry today.
