Education

IASA believes the responsibility of educating architects belongs in the hands of the academic and professional community and not a vendor. In no other field is a vendor responsible for the education, training and certification of the professionals. This is for a good reason. The only sure way to avoid abuse of accreditation and certification is a) to take the monetary reward out of the system and b) put the control and oversight in the hands of the community who cannot benefit from lowering the standards.

As a part of our ongoing effort to provide service and value to IT architects, the IASA Education Department is developing coursework to better train and educate architects. This program, officially called the Architect Training Program (ATP), will provide online course work and eventually classroom training in order to advance both the fundamental and specialty skills of IT architects.

Program content is based on the body of knowledge identified through the Architecture Training Council (ATC) and member output.  For professional architects, innovative education programs enhance their job as well as the organization performance.  World-class speakers, senior architecture professionals and industry thought leaders are content leaders for the IASA education program.  This ensures the latest knowledge and best practices for the profession.
