Taxonomy

IASA is developing a full skills package for the IT architect. The project achieves a primary component of the IASA mission which is to allow the open architect community to guide the overall direction of the profession. The goal of the project is to deliver a series of topic based courses specifically for the IT architect based on the IASA skills taxonomy.

Becoming An Instructor:
To become an author you must have 10 years of experience or more in IT and have at least 5 years of direct experience with your chosen topic. To be considered for this select author list all you must create a topic outline similar to those below and send to education(at)iasahome(dot)org in the document FOR EACH TOPIC you would like to author. We currently only accept one author per taxonomy topic

What Is In It For You:
The IASA shares a large percentage of the revenue from each paid course with the author/instructor of the course. Much like a writing a book the author receives a percentage of every course that every student pays for. An course is better though because a) it takes less time to author and b) the percentage the author receives per student is much higher. The percentage is based on:

  • course topic
  • coures cost (fee)
  • timeline to deliver course
  • students per year estimate
  • interactivity and quality of the course

Also you will be shaping the direction of an entire profession and providing the foundation for a real curriculum in IT architecture. In addition, you have the option of branding the course (tastifully) to increase your overall recognition in the industry (for those authors who choose not to due to privacy concerns we will omit your professional details from the output).
