IASA Chapter Events
Our plan is simple; create an international architecture community of practicing architects and allow that body to drive standards, according to their needs and issues. This is accomplished by developing IASA chapters in cities around the world. Furthermore, the IT architecture profession is continually evolving and architects everywhere are eager to learn about the latest technology products and best practices. IASA chapters help make this possible for thousands of practicing architects.
Chapter meetings
Most chapters will hold meetings once a month which are free to the public. Speakers usually come from local companies and the topics are either chosen by the speaker or by the chapter leadership team. The only requirement is that the topic must be relevant to the architecture profession. The length of the meetings are anywhere from an hour and half to two hours and is often held on a weekday after work hours. Other meeting formats can include a round table discussions and panels. Monthly chapter meeting notices will be posted on the chapter website and on the IASA homepage.
Half-day events
If the chapter leaders decide to do so, a chapter can hold half-day events to raise funds and/or community awareness. The rates, speakers, and topics are determined by the chapter leadership with the understanding that the information must be related to IT architecture and can not show a technology or vendor bias. Half-day event information will be posted on the chapter website as on the IASA homepage.
