The IASA leadership in Malaysia include influential and creditable people in the country. These people are key contribution to the success of IASA Malaysia.

IASA Patron - Dato’ Kong Cho Ha, Deputy Minister of Finance and Former Deputy Minister of Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation
 Dato’ Kong Cho Ha encouraged leaders of the information and communications technology (ICT) industry to share their knowledge and experiences to help uplifting skills sets and competency of the industry. Seeing IASA as an association of highly skilled professional, he gave his full support and blessing to this organization. Being present at our previous two major architect events shows the commitment he gave to this association.

 

IASA Patron - Dato’ Dr. Raja Malik Mohamed, President of Malaysia National Computer Confederation (MNCC)
 YM Dato’ Dr. Raja Malik is concurrently the Deputy Director- General of MAMPU and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Public Sector. Prior to this, he has given distinguished service to INTAN, the Ministry of Education and other relevant agencies. He is also the President of Malaysian National Computer Confederation, the recognized body for ICT professionals in Malaysia as well as the President of the South-East Asia Regional Computer Confederation or SEARCC.
 
IASA Strategic Adviser - Dr. Ab Rashid bin Ab Rahim
 Dr. Rashid has been working in the last 30 years for Malaysian Government in various ministries and ICT roles. His last appointment was with National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) as the Deputy Head, IMATEC. His passion and interest are in the area of Software Quality, Project Management & ICT Strategic Planning
 
IASA Chapter President - En. Hasan Ganny Hanif Francis, Head of Marketing Division, TIME Engineering Berhad
 

Hasan Ganny bin Hanif Francis has been working in the IT industry since 1990. He spent his entire career in the software development activities and since 2000, he focused mainly in the area of IT architecture where he has architected large and complex systems with one of Malaysian largest conglomerate group of companies. He is the Head of Marketing Division in Time Engineering Berhad.

IASA Chapter Deputy President - En. Thaib Mustafa, General Manager, Telekom Malaysia
 Thaib is General Manager, IT Strategic Planning, Group IT, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM). He has more than 17 years of experience in Telecommunications and ICT industry. He accumulated well-rounded business & technology (ICT) working experience within TM and its international subsidiaries. With wide exposure in telecommunications and ICT services over the years specifically in corporate governance, strategic business and IT alignment, technology and business architecture, systems and business development, merger and acquisitions, shared services, outsourcing, and information security management. He was instrumental in setting up and managing several projects for Telekom Malaysia such as MSC’s Flagship Application Project for Smart School, Business Continuity and Recovery Services (BIZ-Secure) for TM Product Marketing, E-Payment Gateway Services for TM Subsidiary, Group IT Master Plan, TM Group Shared Services Organisation (SSO), and TM Group Strategic Business Planning for TM Corporate Strategy. He is a member of Technical Committee 5 – Information Security Management System (ISMS) since 2005 under the Standards Malaysia/SIRIM ISCG on Information Technology – Security Techniques (ISO/IEC JTC1/SC27).
 
IASA Chapter Secretary - Mr. Liang Yong Soon, Technical Director, Persys Technologies Bhd
 Liang is the founder and Technical Director of Persys Technologies Bhd. He is passionate about building robust enterprise software solutions; especially real time applications that require short response time, high transaction volume, and 7x24 uptime. He has architected many enterprise applications currently used by financial institutions in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Korea and Indonesia. Liang holds an Honor Degree in Software Engineering from University of Kentucky, with minor in Mathematics and Business Management.
 
 
IASA Chapter Treasurer, Mr. Wong Y-Mi
 Wong Y-Mi was formally the Chief Technology Officer of GHL Systems Berhad along with Yap Ke Lip, and has been with the company since its founding in Jan 1998. GHL Systems is one of the leading financial and transaction payment technology companies in Malaysia and is responsible for supplying a major portion of the credit, debit, ATM, loyalty and smart cards devices, technologies and infrastructure in Malaysia. He runs his own business now providing consulting and solutions to his client.
