The commitment to being a course author is much like writing a book though it is a bit shorter in duration.  IASA provides staff to help support you but you will be asked to commit signficant time for authoring the material.  The primary authoring period happens over 3 months when you create your course content in powerpoint.  We estimate you will create 1-2 powerpoints a week for 6 weeks.  The remaining 6 weeks will be spent editing your work (estimated time about 15-20 hrs/wk).  Once the editing process is complete, our development staff will take over.   You must be available for Q/A sessions, voice over recording or other short tasks during the following 3 months (estimated time approximately 5 hrs/wk).

We ask that you do not apply to become a course author if you are unwilling to finish the task. We have limited resources and a very exciting goal so our process depends heavily on our course authors participation.  Please help us ensure success by only applying if you have the time to commit to this.

  • Individuals who have a training background and a multi-disciplinary approach.
