Understanding the Training ProgramIASA has been designing and developing the education plan for over 2 years now so there is a lot of information to understand and assimilate. The education programs include training, certification and internship which are very common in other professions but new to IT architects. Our education plan is the most precise program available for architects in the world. We have put together the first rigorous skills taxonomy and are creating the largest body of knowledge ever developed for the architecture profession. E-Learning Model and ExampleTo ensure a quality learning experience IASA has employed experienced e-learning professionals to design our e-learning model. This includes both the LMS (learning management system) as well as the e-learning and instructional design methods built into course modules. Example Module: Design as a Dicipline - View an example lesson from the Design as a Discipline course: Elearning Model: Understanding the Program - We walk you through the details of the entire program using our own e-learning model. Coming Soon! CurriculumThe curriculum design has been optimized for practical application and independent skill acquisition instead of academic rigor. For example, none of the IASA courses has any pre-requisites though we may recommend compatible or support courses and resources. The courses are divided into the 5 foundation categories and 4 specializations. In addition each course comes with as many downloadable and reusable artifacts as possible. The may include document or spreadsheet templates, model files, code or even complete libraries. TimelineThe timeline for course delivery is roughly 1.25 years (goal completion date is March 2009). 500 hrs is a lot of content and we intend to do it right. However, we are creating the content iteratively so there will be courses available each quarter after we meet our minum funding requirements. |
